If ignition is included, by repeated pressing the bottom party of the switch of functions they are consistently deduced on indication. The conclusion of functions to indication is carried out by pressing the top party of the switch in return sequence.

In pressing and deduction of the button of dumping within at least 2 seconds it is possible to establish the values of absolute and average fuel consumption saved up in memory, time of movement and average speed on zero. It is possible to interrupt with short-term pressing of a key the alarm computer indication warning about excess of norm of time of continuous stay at a wheel and need of filling.

At ignition inclusion on indication the last is deduced at the moment of ignition switching off function. At a detachment of plugs of the accumulator all saved-up values are erased.

Display

The board computer issues information of 6 types:

  – fuel consumption at present or pressure of pressurization of the Audi S6 Avant car (169 kW);
  – a course stock on fuel;
  – absolute fuel consumption;
  – time of continuous stay at a wheel (Max. indication 23:59);
  – average fuel consumption;
  – average speed of movement.

To define, what of functions is included, it is possible on a triangle indicating the corresponding symbol of the upper or bottom edge of the display. On an illustration as an example indication of a stock of a course on fuel is shown.

On indication values of fuel consumption at present, km measured in l/100 are deduced.

The expense is calculated on each 30-meter site of a way. During a stop of the car indication of last of the calculated values remains. If after start-up of the engine fuel consumption indication is caused at present, on the first 30–40 meters of a way on indication average fuel consumption is deduced. If at the working engine to manipulate an accelerator pedal, without getting under way from a place, indications of fuel consumption can be very high. By means of this indication it is possible to choose the mode of movement corresponding to optimum fuel consumption.

On indication absolute pressure in the inlet gas pipeline of the engine is deduced. An indication range on the display – from 0 to 2,5 bar.

After ignition inclusion at the idle engine indication corresponds to the actual atmospheric (barometric) pressure that means at stay at a sea level about 1,0 bar. After start-up of the engine of the indication decrease owing to a razryazheniye in the inlet gas pipeline. At movement indication changes in limits from 1 to the 2nd a bar, in dependence and, along with another, from the provision of a pedal of an accelerator. If under the influence of a turbonagnetatel pressure increases in the inlet gas pipeline so that exceeds atmospheric, in this case speak and "pressure of pressurization".

At full loading pressure of pressurization depends on turns of the engine, temperature of nadduvochny air, atmospheric pressure (height) and quality of fuel. Engine electronics continuously brings into optimum compliance pressure of pressurization with power setting. Therefore at movement considerable fluctuations of indications of pressure of pressurization are possible.

In case of excess of the most admissible pressure of pressurization at completely open butterfly valve (owing to malfunctions of system), a monitor Motronik for safety will disconnect klapanny nozzles and will stop thereby supply of fuel before decrease to standard of pressure of pressurization.

In this case, avoiding excess of admissible pressure of pressurization by circumspect pressing an accelerator pedal, it is possible to go on the Audi enterprise for the purpose of establishment of the reason of supernormal increase in pressure.

course stock on fuel

The course stock is determined by fuel by the discrete values counted by steps on 10 km. This indication shows, how many kilometers the car still can pass on the actual rest of fuel in this mode of movement. Fuel consumption is accepted to a basis of calculations of a stock of a course on the last 30 km of a way. At more economic subsequent movement the stock of a course increases.

Reminder on need of filling

At a course stock less than 50 km occur automatic switching on indication of this parameter. Indication starts to blink. When the fuel rest in a tank reaches 5–8 l, instead of value of a stock of a course on the display there is a letter "L" meaning that the tank is empty.

Alarm indication can be switched off in short-term pressing the top or bottom party of the switch of functions, or the Reset button. While the car will not be filled, alarm indication will appear at each inclusion of ignition.

On indication the number of the engine of fuel spent after start-up is deduced. Value of an expense is erased from memory after repeated inclusion of ignition and the subsequent 30 m of movement. Besides, this value can be erased in Reset button pressing.

On indication time in a way is deduced from the moment of the last dumping of data of memory. At the included ignition value of time in a way remains in memory. At movement continuation to it the subsequent counting of time is added.

The limit of indications of time in a way makes 23 hours and 59 minutes.

Reminder on need of a break in movement

In two hours after a start of motion, irrespective of the programmed function, there is an automatic switching on time indication in a way. Blinking indication of a look "2:0" reminds the driver of need to make a break in movement. In short-term pressing the top or bottom party of the switch of functions, or the Reset button this indication can be switched off. If ignition remains included or if a break will make less than 10 minutes, in each next two hours the reminder on need will stop on rest to repeat, with time indication in a way of a look "4:0", "6:0" etc.

At duration of a break more than 10 minutes to the switched-off ignition there is a dumping of data of counting of time in a way.

On indication average fuel consumption is deduced from the moment of the last dumping of memory. Not to confuse it to an instant expense at the moment of reading of indications.

At the switched-off ignition value of average fuel consumption remains in memory. At continuation of movement data of the subsequent expense are considered.

For deleting of memory to press the Reset key. At journey of the first 30 m after dumping on indication zero value is deduced.

On indication average speed of movement is deduced from the moment of the last dumping of memory. At the switched-off ignition this size remains in memory. At continuation of movement indicators of the subsequent run are considered.
