Asterisks of a cranked shaft, camshaft and intermediate shaft have a drive from a gas-distributing belt and rotate inphase.

If phase synchronism of rotation of asterisks is broken, valves will concern pistons during rotation of a cranked shaft.

The highest point of which reaches the N1 piston at the moment of a compression step is accepted to the top dead point.

Shaft blocking by the self-made device

1. To establish the N1 piston in VMT, unscrew candles of prestarting heating.
2. Having turned a cranked shaft, combine a sinkhronizatsionny label, on a flywheel with a ledge on a casing of a transmission and a label on an asterisk of the fuel pump with a label on the pump case.
3. By means of special tools block a camshaft (see also fig. Shaft blocking by the self-made device).
4. Center the blocked camshaft by means of measuring щупов. Now, the N1 piston is in VMT.
