3.1.3.5. Replacement of maslosjemny caps of valves

GENERAL INFORMATION

Worn-out maslosjemny caps of valves are at the bottom of a high consumption of oil the engine. Maslosjemnye caps can act in film and at the established head of cylinders. For this purpose first of all the special V.A.G-2036 tools with V.A.G-541/1 or HAZET 2577-2, and are necessary for the petrol engine also compressed air.
Prevention

Here the removal description for the petrol engine is given. The diesel engine does not need the compressed air. The piston of the corresponding cylinder first of all should be put in VMT.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a camshaft and tarelchaty pushers.
2. The piston of the corresponding cylinder put in situation NMT. For this purpose a face key for a bolt of fastening of a belt pulley turn a cranked shaft so that dredging on a belt pulley coincided with an adjusting label on a casing of a gear belt (the piston of the cylinder 1 is now in VMT). At the same time pistons of cylinders 2 and 3 are in NMT. The Remenny pulley of a cranked shaft mark below chalk, then a remenny pulley turn on 1/2 turns (180 degrees) while the cretaceous mark will not coincide with an adjusting label. Now pistons 1 and 4 are in NMT.
3. Turn out all spark plugs.
4. An adapter of a hose of the compressed V.A.G-653/3 or HAZET 3428 air screw in an opening of a spark plug of the corresponding cylinder.
5. If the adapter is not present, it can be made of an old spark plug. For this purpose an electrode of weight 1 remove (see fig. A spark plug in a cut). A screw-driver destroy a ceramic insulator 2, then, shaking the central electrode in different directions, break off it and pull out. The rest of the central electrode together with fibreglass 4 and a connecting electrode 5 beat out a suitable drift (about 3 mm).
Thus a spark plug clamp in a vice or insert into the corresponding face head. Attention: In order to avoid damage of a carving to a head of cylinders, the carving of a candle should not have damages.
6. The prepared spark plug screw in the corresponding cylinder and connect to a hose of the compressed air.
7. Constantly force in the cylinder the compressed air under the pressure of not less 6th bar.
8. The special V.A.G 2036 tool tighten on racks of bearings 1 and 4 and compress springs of valves the V.A.G 541/1 adaptation. It is possible to use and the HAZET 2577 adaptation. In this case the basic device enclosed to the adaptation tighten to hairpins of fastening of a camshaft and compress valve springs a stripper.

Prevention

The piston should be in NMT thus.


9. Take out crackers, weaken springs.
Prevention

Strongly sitting crackers to weaken in easy blows of a hammer on mount.


10. Take out plates of springs of valves and a spring of valves.
11. Take out a maslosjemny cap. In workshops for removal special tools (V.A.G 10-218, V.A.G 3047, HAZET 791-5 or a shock stripper of HAZET 791-2) are used. As a rule, maslosjemny caps sit very strongly. Therefore for removal it is necessary to use a shock stripper.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The plastic plug – And – (it is delivered together with maslosjemny caps) dress on a valve core. The Maslosjemny cap – In – slightly oil, insert into rebuffing V.A.G 10-204 or HAZET 2577 device and carefully pull on directing the valve. The plug and rebuffing device remove.

Prevention

If assembly is carried out without use of the plastic plug, maslosjemny caps are damaged! Thereof the engine spends too much oil.


2. Establish springs of valves and a plate of springs of valves, compress springs.
3. Insert crackers, weaken springs.
4. Replace in the same way all maslosjemny caps. Establish tarelchaty pushers and a camshaft.
