6.3.7. Check of klapanny nozzles

GENERAL INFORMATION

SYSTEM OF INJECTION OF MPI/MPFI


Tips of system of injection of MPI

A–regulation of the oxygen sensor, idling switch, measuring instrument of a mass consumption of air etc.

In – a measuring instrument of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft, the board computer, management of an automatic transmission

With – perepuskny valves of an inlet collector, a retsirkulyatsiya of the fulfilled gases etc.

D–klapanny nozzles, system with absorbent carbon etc.

Resistance check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Pull out the tip of a klapanny nozzle.
2. Connect an ohmmeter between both contacts of a klapanny nozzle.
3. Resistance should make from 15 to 17 Ohm, otherwise a klapanny nozzle replace. Pay attention to accuracy of the used measuring device, if necessary check a klapanny nozzle once again in a workshop before it to replace.
4. Insert the tip and check the following nozzle.

Check of feeding tension

Preconditions for check:

    – relay of the fuel pump and management of this relay as it should be;
    – a thermosafety lock 3 (a red clip) the block of system of ignition in the right niche for feet as it should be.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the tip of a klapanny nozzle (see fig. Tips of system of injection of MPI; it is shown on the right below). A control lamp on semi-conductor diodes connect to contact of 1 tip and mass of the engine (–).
2. Ask the assistant to include for some seconds a starter, thus a control lamp should burn.
3. Otherwise check integrity of connection of the wires going to a safety lock of N13.

Management check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. A control lamp connect to contacts 1 and 2 tips.
2. Ask the assistant to include for some seconds a starter (the engine thus also can be got). The control lamp should blink.
3. Otherwise execute electric check of system of injection of MPI/MPFI. At detection eliminate break or short circuit in a wire to contact of the tip D of MPI/MPFI system. See the table.
4. The tip insert and check the following nozzle. If the control lamp at check of all klapanny nozzles does not blink, check feeding tension of the control unit.
5. If feeding tension as it should be, as a rule, takes place defect of the control unit of system of injection of MPI/MPFI.
