3.3.9.2. Installation and check

GENERAL INFORMATION

Installation of loose leaves of radical bearings

And – a cut
In – a ledge on the loose leaf
With – a lubricant opening

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Establish new loose leaves of radical bearings.
2. Establish persistent half rings.

Check of a lubricant gap of radical bearings

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For measurement of a lubricant gap it is possible to use an internal micrometer or other special device, but the most exact and easy method it – to use a special plastic measuring instrument.
2. Clear a cranked shaft, bearings and lubricant openings, then accurately establish a cranked shaft on bearings.
3. Put a plastic piece on each of radical bearings along a shaft axis.

4. Establish covers of radical bearings, trying not to shift plastic. Tighten fixing bolts of covers till the demanded moment of an inhaling in the specified sequence. Do not turn a cranked shaft.
5. Unscrew bolts, and accurately remove covers.

6. Compare width of the crushed film to a special scale for determination of size of a lubricant gap.
7. If the size of a gap does not correspond to technical requirements, establish loose leaves of other size. If necessary bearings can be ground.
8. Carefully remove film traces from a shaft and bearings.

Final installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Accurately remove a cranked shaft.
2. Clear a surface of loose leaves and grease them with greasing or engine oil.
3. Check, that bearings of a cranked shaft were pure and establish a cranked shaft into place.
4. Grease and establish the bottom loose leaves.
5. Establish persistent half rings.
6. Establish covers of radical bearings and insert fixing bolts.
7. Tighten bolts till the demanded moment.
8. Hold on bolts on a demanded corner.
9. Turn a cranked shaft a hand several times and check ease of a course.
